OH CRIKEY! So my dad thought it would be funny to dress alike and talk in this funny accent. All I know is it was bright outside, and I dont like the sun yet! My mom wanted to add RIP Steve! Poor crocodile hunter :(

Uncle Matty

I got to meet my dad's BFF tonight, Matty! Him like many others was afraid to hold me, but mom just plopped me in his lap like she does with all the other scardy cats. I think I showed him Im pretty harmless. I was wearing my fireman pj's in honor of my dad and Matt. Someone hire them already!

The 100 degree BBQ

So this weekend me and my parents drove over a mountain into Santa Ynez to Millard and Olivia's to BBQ! I had so much fun meeting all my new friends! They all like to drink this stuff called wine and beer, and wow did they drink a lot of it! It seems that this wine and beer stuff also makes them sing funny songs really loud. I guess it was fun cause everyone was sure laughing. I hope when Im bigger I get to join in the singing fun!

I also discovered this weekend I dont like the heat. It makes me sweat. My mom stripped me down to my diaper at the bbq because it was so hot. I was very glad when the sun went down and I cooled off. I can't wait for the next bbq!

First smiles!

So I finally decided to show my smile this weekend to mom. There have been claims of me showing it before, but were going to call this weekend the "official weekend of first smiles" as these weren't followed by me barfing or pooping. She tried to catch it in a photo and this was as close at she got. Little does mom know getting all my firsts on film is going to be like catching big foot on film... ha ha!

New milestones!

Ok, lets face it. I'm smart. I cant imagine what life will be like when I'm TWO months old! I'm already discovering how to make sounds, and not just scream! Its pretty neat how I can change my voice. I also love to stare at the hanging pot rack, the ceiling lights (when they are off of course) the curtains, pretty much anything with contrast. Not that I know what contrast is but man, its sure fun to stare at! I've also learned how to follow objects, like my dad! Last night he was walking circles around me and I couldn't take my eyes off him. Mom is looking forward to my first awake smile. I do it all the time in my sleep, but I hear its not the same. I think I might show her very soon, cause I'm sure a happy baby!

Grandma's Galore!

Well this last week was sure exciting. I got to meet my Grandma Val for the first time! We had so much fun together! We got in some great cuddle time while she tried to figure out a way to smuggle me back to Colorado with her. I PROMISE grandma, I will come see you when I get a little bit older! I can't wait to meet Bud, Duck, Lady, and the million parakeets she told me about.

So every morning at 4am sharp grandma val would get up to spend time with me, I sure heard mom and dad thanking her a lot. I didn't know I was that big of a pain in the behind? I don't understand why why my parents miss this thing called sleep so much. I sleep all day, its not that hard to do guys!

I also got to visit Grandma Julies house for the first time. Man, these people sure do have a lot of animals! I also was able to cuddle with my uncle for the first time. He was a little scared of me at first, but I showed him I'm pretty harmless. I thought it was funny when I started to cry and mom wouldn't take me back, uncle jared sure got nervous! ha ha!

Easter

Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a great day! We had an exciting day around here, my dad cleaned the carpets and mom made cookies. Then we had a bbq with grandpa joaquin and his friend martha. Mom thought it would be a good idea to put me in a basket, I didnt mind to much as I was really sleepy. I kept raising up my hands in the air like I love to do, but they were covered with fake grass! Mom got a kick of of it, I just wanted to sleep.

I had my first babysitter while mom and dad went to see a band. Grandma julie and bret came over to hang out with me, we had fun watching TV and eating taco bell. I cant wait until im old enough for solid foods! Although taco bell already gives me gas (thanks mom)

Mom and Dad had a bunch of fun on their first night out, but mom had to admit that she missed me!

Catch Up.

I thought I would catch you up on these past 5 weeks, they have been exciting ones! My first doctors appointment went great! Although I hated being naked so I screamed my head off. (But just to let you know, now that Im so much older Im getting better with being in the nude!) My Doctor, who was also mom's and uncle Jared's doctor, said my parents were doing great! Go mom and dad! I know I was pretty difficult those first few weeks, I thought night time was when I was supposed to be awake?

So who do I look like? That is still up for debate. Most think I look like my dad, while I have my moms feet and hands. My mom thinks I look like a little old man when I wrinkle my forehead (see my picture above) Either way I think I’m pretty darn cute!

I'm finally here!

Hello everyone! My name is Hudson Gray Topping and I came screaming into this world on March 3rd at 1:48 pm. I weighed in at 6lbs, 5oz and I am 19 inches long. As soon as I was laid on mommy’s chest I stopped crying and spent an hour staring at her and daddy. I finally got to meet the faces with the voices I’ve heard for so many months! Also in the room with me was grandma julie while grandma val was in colorado listening on the phone. I was then visited by my uncle jared and my grandpa jack who I’ve been told I have to call joaquin.. ok grandpa!

This past 5 weeks of my life has been pretty crazy. Im learning new things everyday, meeting all my new friends, and GROWING! I hope everyone can follow my blog!
